This was the ideal gift. Fairly simple to install, and functions nicely! I enjoy that you can verify the actual min max wind speed, rainfall, and temp at any given time! Great item!
I have had numerous Davis units in the past and had trouble with the outside wind speed unit,so I believed I would try a various mfg. The WS-5300 unit came in 3 days, packed properly and in great situation. Installation instructions had been great and in a very short time I had it installed and operating. This is my initially wireless unit and honestly appreciate becoming able to location the receiving part anyplace I want to. So far I would advise it to anybody that wants a moderately priced unit. The only issue I miss from my old unit is not being able to tell what time the min/max was reached.
