I bought this on a whim at the same time as a different weather product, and the cost was suitable. I wanted a straightforward indoor and outdoor wireless thermometer for me and the loved ones. We appreciate this item and verify it every day!
It was very easy sufficient to set up and use. The console is wireless and the published range was 300' (I could only get 120' out of the unit but I guess walls make a distinction?).
The temperature is accurate but word of warning... make certain the sensor is placed in the shade! It will read wrong if you do not. The moment I learned this, I got precise readings.
We get a kick out of wendy the weather girl. She adjustments clothes when the temperature alterations. We are in Arizona, so she hardly ever changes out of her bathing suit but the children consider it's cool (and me as well!).
I had yet another wireless thermometer for years. The sensor and the base unit lastly quit talking to every other, in spite of fresh batteries and resetting each. I was going to order an additional one, but these are so low-priced, I ordered two of these to place on opposite sides of the residence so I can continually know the outside temp on the shady side. And now I don't have to cross the property to see the outside temp.
I followed the instructions to get both base units to read both sensors. All four read temperature inside .4 degrees of each and every other when sitting next to every single other. I now have every thing placed exactly where I want them. One particular of the base units is no longer reading the sensor on the opposite side of the property. I suppose I could reset them, but it's not that crucial to me and I am lazy.
1 feature I had on our old thermo was a back light. And I would rather have bigger numbers than the cute but useless kid-in-clothing graphic. But for the price, these are good!
