I am rather pleased with this. I purchased it to replace a climate station made by La Cross. My discomfort with the La Cross unit was that the remote would transmit and update the temperature every four seconds, so batteries only lasted about two 1/two months. Then the unit had to be totally reprogrammed when the remote batteries were changed. It also did not have a display/sensor for humidity. The remote for the Ambient Weather station will transmit the moment per minute, which is really sufficient. I have had my unit for a month, through which time it has performed perfectly. It displays the time, indoor and outdoor temperature, and outdoor humidity, so setup is speedy and simple. They claim battery life is about 2 years in each display and remote.

My husband has emphesyma and demands to monitor the humidity inside and out. When the climate is warm, we put the outside unit outside and get a amazing humidity reading. If the property is closed up, I bring it in and we know what the humidity is in the home. Ideal portion, he keeps the indoor unit by his chair and refers to it normally.
