The Acu-Rite Wireless Weather Station with Wind Sensor characteristics a 3-in-1 wireless sensor that records temperature, humidity and wind speed. The indoor display then displays the indoor/outdoor temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, dew point, wind chill, heat index, indoor/outdoor relative humidity, future forecast, bar graph history, wind speed, atomic clock and moon phase. The future forecast icon displays 14 diverse climate conditions employing a patented self-calibrating algorithm. The bar graph background shows the temperature, humidity and wind historical data. The wind speed is then displayed as average and peak speeds. The atomic self setting clock features split second accuracy and resets automatically for Daylight Saving time. The day of the week and calendar date and month are also displayed. Transmission range for the sensor is 330-feet in an open field. The wireless display also shows the signal strength to let you know if data is being recorded.

My husband is obsessed with these variety of items. He just had to have this one. If you stand your hand up on the counter and slightly open your fingers, that is about the size of this item. It has a ton of facts on the screen, which is fun to read when talking about the weather. As a matter of truth, I went to take the trash out at 9pm yesterday and the climate took my breath away. I came back in and looked at the Climate Forecaster to identify that it was 72 out and humidity of 84%, can you say Muggy? Anyway, we like all the info, but it has to sit an arm's reach away from my husband so he can read the numbers, and he has 20/20 vision. So in all, I appreciate all the information, just wish it was a bigger unit to read from farther away.

As straightforward and cool as they claim. The all in one outdoor sensor mounted on PVC pipe does not distract from my landscaping. The wireless range is outstanding (100ft adverstised). Remember to get Lithium AA batteries for the outdoor sensor if you reside in a cold climate. How did I reside devoid of wind speed?
