Initially this unit takes awhile to set up. What was puzzling is that the outdoor unit, when very first placed outside, would relay either incorrect temperature readings or nothing at all. This problem lasted about 5 days and now seems to be fairly consistent (based on other sources I use to get the outside temperature). Now it is a trustworthy unit and I would recommend the product for somebody who requires just the simple climate information and facts.
